校长寄语:

我们希望你们可以把学习当成兴趣，抱着你们的好奇心，期待新学期迎来的每一件事情，每一个挑战，每一份任务。每一天全力以赴，义无反顾的去创造一个更美好友善又可持续发展的世界，去创造人人都富有使命感的世界，这是我上一年开学的演讲题目。
 
We hope that you can take learning as an interest, hold your curiosity, and look forward to everything, every challenge, and every task that come with the new semester. Every day, we will go all out and create a more beautiful and sustainable world where everyone has a sense of mission. This is the topic of my speech lastyear.
 
今年我想讲一下相信的力量。
This year I want to talk about the power of faith.
 
第 一，相信学习的力量
Firstly, believe in the power of learning.
 
青春期不易，你们将要面临许多全新的挑战，在这个过程当中，身体在变化，心智在成长，当中会有很多的抉择∶要选择交往的朋友选择自己的爱好选择以后从事的专业选择未来要去的国家，这些也许是你们家长们会有的期许，但作为学校，我们认为这都不该被设限，我们只期望你永远选择善良和不断挑战自我。
 
Adolescence is not easy, and you will confront many new challenges. In this process, the body is changing; the mind is growing. There will be many choices in your lives: choose friends to associate with; choose your own hobbies; choose the majors to be engaged in later; choose the country to go. These may be the expectations of your parents. But as a school, we believe this should not be set and we only hope that you will always choose to be a good man and challenge yourself.
 
去坚信原本相信的东西，但在接受教育这条道路上，树立自己的逻辑思维，不是一味的去接受，而是去分析，去思考，去判断，去总结，去反思，在人生这条长路上成长。
 
Believe in what you originally believed. However, on the road of receiving education, you have to establish your own logical thinking, not just to accept it, but to analyze, to think, to judge, to summarize, to reflect. You are growing up on the road of the long life!
 
探索自己，探索世界，最最重要的是，保持你的初心，在正直和善良的基础上，再去追求卓越，believe in yoursell! 勇敢积极大胆的去创造，be bold and creative.
 
Explore yourself, explore the world,and most importantly, keep your initial heart. On the basis of integrity and kindness,pursue excellence and believe in yourself! Be bold and creative.
 
第二相信质疑的力量
Secondly, betlieve in the power of questioning
 
也许有时候你会觉得不被老师和家长们理解，其实长大后会发现∶不是谁不善于理解，而是我们大多数中国家庭都不善于沟通。
 
Sometimes you may feel that you are not understood by teachers and parents.In fact, when you grow up, you will find that not everyone is good at understanding, but most of our Chinese families are not good at communicating.
 
我希望可以实现对所有的家长，教职工团队以及同学的诺言，我们会根据你们的需求而不断完善自己，learning is a lifelong journey， 孩子更像是大人们和社会的一面镜子，督促着我们不断完善自身。
 
Ihope that we can make promise to all parents, faculty members and students that we will continue to improve ourselves according to your needs. Learning is a lifelong journey. Children are more like mirrors of adults and the society,urging us to keep improve ourselves.
 
哪怕你质疑，我们也不希望你随波逐流得过且过，the opposite of love is not hate，but indifference.爱的反义不是恨，而是漠不关心，你们该有一种较真儿和不甘，对事物提出质疑，这就是美高里很注重培养的批判性思维。
 
Even if you question something, we don't want you to go with the tide.But the opposite side of love is not hate, but indifference. You should have a kind of truth and unwillingness to question things. This is the critical thinking that US high schools focused on developing
 
甘地的名言∶ be the change you want to see in the world.这句话也同样送给在坐的所有家长，你们是孩子们第 一个人生导师，也是永恒的榜样.
 
Gandhi said:be the change you want to see in the world.Iwant to give this sentence to all parents.You are the first personal tutor of your children,and an eternal model for them to follw. We are all still very young!
We can't just talk the talk,we also have to walk the walk.
 
我们一定要三省吾身，在学生身上想看到的改变我们要身体力行的去实践，be the change we want to see in our kids. 
 
We must reflect ourselves all the time.If we want to see some changes in students,we must take the lead to practice and be the change we want to see in our kids.
 
第三，相信自己，相信世界会因你而改变
Thirdty, believe in yourself and betieve the wortd will change because of you.
 
在斯坦福大学任职了 20年的教授 Tina Seeling 曾就在她的创业学科里分享过她研究的三个幸运法则∶
第 一点，跳出舒适区;
第二点，体会感恩和分享的乐趣;
第三点，拥有成长型的学习思维。
 
Professor Tina Seeling,who has taught at Stanford University for twenty years, shared three lucky rules of the research in her entrepreneurial discipline:
The first point, jump out of the comfort zone;
The second point,experience the joy of gratitude and sharing The third point, possess a growing learning mindset.
 
每天问自己两个问题∶
Ask yourself two questions every day:
 
1.我今天做了什么之前没做过的事?
2.我今天给予了吗?
有的话，给自己一个大大的赞，没有的话，给给予你的人道一声感谢。
你会从此发现，你的能力和人气都会陡然增长，当你自己越变越强，又有很多追随者时，你就已经具备了当领 袖的两大重要特质。
 
1.What havel done today that Inever did before?
2. Did Igive it today?If you have one,give yourself a big compliment.If you don't do this,give a gratitude to the person who gave yoUu.
From now on,you will find out that your ability and popularity will grow abruptly.As you become stronger and stronger with many followers, you already have two important qualities of being a leader.
 
当然，这些美好的性格特质，在伴随着你的知识架构不断完善，能学习，整合，分析信息，那么这一个个支点，便能翘起你对世界的认知，就可以渐渐跟青春懵懂不安的自己和解。我之所以期望你们能在自己喜欢的领域里有所建树，是因为我相信，且看到，生活不止眼前的苟且，还有诗和远方。
 
Certainly, these beautiful personality traits, along with your knowledge structure,can be learned,integrated,and analyzed. Then you can lift your awareness of the world and you can gradually get self-reconciliation with your youth. I hope that you can make a difference in your favorite field because I believe and see that life is more than just the struggling in front of eyes, but also poetry and distance.
 
Last but not least，我想对所有上一届的家长们；说一声谢谢，这真是莫大的信仰投资，谢谢你们这么有魄力和眼光对老生们，我想说谢谢你们打消了我所有回国办学的顾虑和不安，让我们现在对于回国办学有着无比昂然的斗志和信心对新生和新生家长们，我想对每一个人说∶终于等到你，welcome!welcome! welcome!
 
Last but not least, I would like to say thanks to all parents of the previous session. This is a great investment of faith. Thank you for your courage and vision. For the old students, I want to say:thank you for dispelling all worries and uneasiness of running a school. You let us now have a very high morale and confidence in the education. For new students and your parents, I want to say to everyone: I have always waited for your coming. Welcome!Welcome! Welcome!
 
我说了那么多有期许的话，但你们别有太大的压力。只会听话、被书本和大道理压的头都抬不起来的孩子是无法创造的。你们虽然肩负了使命，但是我们所有今天在场的大人也都还年轻，我们可以耐心的陪伴着你们成长。你做的梦，我们会陪着你们一起实现，你们风华正茂，千万不要害怕出错，何况人生无论在何时都不怕从头再来。Elon Musk 赤重资研发的火箭，也是到了第四次尝试才成功，J.K.罗琳的第 一版哈利波特被出版商拒绝了12次才最终出版，Michael Jordan呢? 他上高中时就被篮球队拒之门外，在他职业生涯里投失过几千次篮，输了几百场比赛。知道他是怎么说的吗他说我一生不断的失败，失败再失败，这就是我现在成功的原因。
 
I have said so many words, but you dan't have to feel so stressful. Children, who are obedient and can't lift their heads from books, can't be created. Although you have shouldered the mission, all adults who are present today are still young, and we can patiently accompany you to grow up. The dreams you make, we will accompany you to achieve together, You are full of enthusiasm;don't be afraid to make mistakes, not to mention life is not afraid to start all over again. The rocket developed by Elon Musk was also successful in the fourth attempt. The first version of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter was rejected by the publisher 12 times before it was finally published. What about Michael Jordan? When he was in high school, he was turned away from the basketball team. In his career, he lost thousands of shots and lost hundreds of games. Do you know what he said? If you know the difficulties ahead, know that you will be frustrated, and want to declare a war with injustice in the world. We will applaud for you when you try to meet all the good things and dreams.
 
我只希望你相信自己，因为只有相信才能看见，只有看见，才能不断的创造和分享
 
I only hope that you believe in yourself, because only by believing you can see it. Only by seeing it you can continue to create and share!
