近日,西澳迎来了一次意义特殊的访问——西澳大利亚州教育署学校课程与标准管理局官员Karen Grant(SCSA)的到访。对澳洲课程的教学质量进行了评估。

Department of Educaton-School Curriculum Standard Authority( SCSA)西澳教育署课程质量委员会是主要负责为本土和全球合作院校的教育质量提供统一规范的保障,包括制定中小学及高中课程大纲、评估标准,认证Western Australia Certificate Education (WACE)等国际教育资格,作为一所在海外的澳大利亚国际高中,SCSA部门每年都会派负责官员进行检查并对教学质量进行详细的评估。以保障教学质量和进度和澳洲本土学校达成一致。

Karen Grant (SCSA)女士全面评估学校教学实践、师资专业能力及学生学习成果;同时收集学科教学反馈,恰逢2025届毕业生考试日,Karen女士同时监督2025年WACE毕业考。督导过程中,通过课堂观察、教案审核、成果检查等多元形式,既肯定了我们教育质量水平,又为课程优化、学术发展提供了很多好的建议,更推动了澳洲和教学资源共享与学术理念融合,为学生打造了与国际接轨的优质学习环境。

陆贤校长向教育署负责人介绍了学校在本土教育实践中的探索与创新,包括如何将中国的教育理念融入到澳大利亚课程体系,以及针对学生个性化发展所采取的一系列方案,如项目式学习、探究式学习等,激发学生的学习兴趣和主动性,培养学生的创新思维和实践能力,为学生提供更加多元化、个性化的学习选择。同时,学校注重加强师资队伍建设,通过组织教师参加国际培训、学术交流等,来提升教师的专业素养和国际视野,为优化教学质量提供有力的师资保障。

SCSA专家Karen Grant女士在此次督导中给予高度评价,不仅认可16年深耕国际教育的扎实成效,更着重肯定了15届毕业生的优异表现:学子们在WACE高考中多人斩获99.65的分数,成绩不仅领先全球国际考生,在澳大利亚本土也位居前列。充分印证了教学质量与SCSA标准的高度契合,堪称跨境教育合作的成功典范。

Recently, our school welcomed a significant visit from Ms. Karen Grant of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA), Western Australia, who conducted an evaluation of the teaching quality of our Australian curriculum programs.

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA), under the Department of Education of Western Australia, is primarily responsible for providing consistent and standardized assurance of educational quality for both local and global partner institutions. This includes developing curricula and assessment standards for primary, secondary, and senior secondary education, as well as accrediting international qualifications such as the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). As an offshore Australian international senior secondary school, our institution undergoes an annual inspection by SCSA officials, who conduct detailed evaluations of our teaching quality to ensure alignment with educational standards and pacing in Australia.

Ms. Karen Grant (SCSA) conducted a comprehensive assessment of the school’s teaching practices, teachers’ professional capabilities, and student learning outcomes. She also gathered feedback on subject teaching. Coinciding with the examination day for our Class of 2025 graduates, Ms. Karen also supervised the 2025 WACE graduation examinations. Through various methods such as classroom observations, lesson plan reviews, and outcome inspections, she not only affirmed the high standard of our education quality but also provided valuable recommendations for curriculum enhancement and academic development. This visit further promoted the sharing of educational resources and integration of academic philosophies between Australia and our school, creating a high-quality learning environment aligned with international standards.

Principal Lu Xian introduced to the SCSA representative the school’s explorations and innovations in localized educational practices, including the integration of Chinese educational philosophies into the Australian curriculum framework. A range of student-centered approaches—such as project-based learning and inquiry-based learning—were also highlighted. These initiatives aim to stimulate students’ interest and initiative in learning, foster innovative thinking and practical skills, and provide more diverse and personalized learning options. Additionally, the school places strong emphasis on strengthening the teaching team by organizing international training and academic exchanges, thereby enhancing teachers’ professional competence and global perspectives, and providing solid support for continuous improvement in teaching quality.

SCSA expert Ms. Karen Grant highly commended our school during this evaluation. She not only recognized our 16-year dedication to international education and its solid outcomes but also particularly acknowledged the outstanding performance of our 15 graduating cohorts. Many of our students have achieved top scores of 99.65 in the WACE examinations, outperforming not only international candidates globally but also ranking among the top performers within Australia. These results fully demonstrate the strong alignment of our teaching quality with SCSA standards, making our school a successful model of cross-border educational collaboration.
