What is IGCSE?
剑桥IGCSE高中基础学历课程是面向14到16岁青少年的国际资格证书课程，大致相当于国家课程体系初三、高一阶段。
Cambridge IGCSE, a foundational educational qualification program for teenagers aged 14 to 16. is an international certificate course. It roughly corresponds to the eighth and ninth grades of the national curriculum.
剑桥IGCSE课程提供70多门学科供学生选择。学生通常可以根据自身特点、兴趣爱好和专业方向选择5至12门学科在一至两年内完成。IGCSE课程的考试成绩不仅是申请大学时重要的参考标准，也是进入下一阶段学习的衔接过渡。
The Cambridge IGCSE offers more than 70 subjects for students to choose from. Typically, students can select between 5 to 12 subjects based on their own characteristics, interests, hobbies, and professional direction, completing them within one to two years. A-Level课程是英国高中课程(General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) 的简称，是英国学生的大学入学考试课程，几乎被世界上绝大多数英语授课的大学作为招收新生的标准之一。
A-Level courses, formally known as the University of Cambridge International General Certificate of Education: Advanced Level, are an international school-leaving qualification for admission to universities worldwide. These courses are almost universally recognised by universities that teach in English
学生通常需要两年时间完成A-Level阶段的学习并参加考试。剑桥A-level高中高级学历课程提供50多门学科供学生选择。学生在选课时需要考虑自身的兴趣特长以及大学的专业方向，通常选择3至4门学科学习。
Students typically spend two years completing their A-Level studies and taking exams. The Cambridge A-level high school advanced diploma course offers more than 50 subjects for students to choose from. When selecting courses, students consider their own interests, strengths, and the direction of their university majors, usually opting for 3 to 4 subjects to study.
IGCSE与A-Level课程的关系？
学生通常可以选择两种方式完成上述两个阶段的课程：
四年：IGSCE阶段两年衔接A-level课程两年
三年：IGSCE阶段一年衔接A-level课程两年
Students typically have two options for completing the courses in the above two stages:
1. Four-Year Option:
o Complete the IGCSE stage over two years.
o Followed by two years of A-Level courses.
2. Three-Year Option:
o Complete the IGCSE stage in one year.
o Followed by two years of A-Level courses.
修读IGCSE课程不能够帮助学生更好地适应国际课程的评估要求，帮助学生发掘自己的特长和兴趣、锁定选课目标，也能够提升大学申请中的竞争力。
Studying IGCSE courses not only helps students adapt to the assessment requirements of international curricula but also allows them to discover their strengths, interests, and select their course objectives. Additionally, IGCSE exam results play a crucial role in university applications, enhancing students’ competitiveness.
