He knows the school and the community very well, and has seen the school operate from a variety of angles, having spent time as both Vice Principal and MYP Coordinator since coming to EtonHouse. With almost three decades in leadership roles, his initial experience came in a long spell at one of the UK’s most academically successful and forward-looking IB boarding schools. He led teams as Head of Department, Boarding Housemaster, Head of Year, CAS Coordinator and Deputy Director of IB MYP & DP programmes, helping to secure authorization for both programmes. In 2011 he came to China to help lead the opening of his UK school’s first international branch, in Tianjin, first as Vice Principal, then as Principal. Student numbers tripled in his time there, and the school quickly established itself as the number one international school in a very competitive market. In order to learn more about the core aspects of Chinese education, Mr. Fowler then spent two years as Head Teacher in a Chinese - Canadian partnership school in Guizhou, before coming to Suzhou in 2018. With a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, post-graduate teaching qualification and TEFL training, he has taught both Individuals & Societies as well as English to MYP students here at EtonHouse, and continues to be involved in the classroom as a teacher of DP Geography. He is determined - with the help of staff, students and parents - to make EtonHouse the very best school that it can be, and to ensure that all members of the community flourish and thrive in their time here.

He holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Leicester, the UK, and two Bachelor's degrees, in English Literature (Hons.) and Education, from universities in India. He has taught many courses in different international curriculum systems during his long teaching career and worn many hats in pedagogical leadership roles. He is an IB Examiner and, as a member of the IB Educator's Network (IBEN), is Workshop Leader, Course Reader and Site Visit Team Member (SVTM). He is also a Fellow of Facing History Leadership Academy (Brookline, MA, USA) and a qualified NPQSL and NPQML Training Facilitator for the Institute of Education at University College London (UCL) in the UK. He is driven by positive learning outcomes and believes that all students learn and that they all learn differently. He is the Diploma Programme Coordinator at EtonHouse International School Suzhou. He teaches DP English A, History and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). As Teaching and Learning Coordinator, he supports students and teachers in capacity building around best practices in Education.

As an educator, she has worn many hats as a facilitator to thinking skills programmes, learning support teacher and PYP homeroom teacher. As a leader, she has served as Head of Elementary School at a reputed international school in Shanghai, China. She also focused on student well-being and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) as integral to the curriculum. Ms. D'Costa is a firm believer in the power of restorative conversations, positive discipline, and student agency. She has worked on authorization and evaluation teams for IB and. She is a qualified NPQSL and NPQML Training Facilitator for the Institute of Education at University College London (UCL) in the UK and holds a PGCE from the University of Sunderland, UK. She has worked with Australian, US and Singapore curricula, but her passion has firmly been IB's Primary Years Programme. As Primary Years Programme Coordinator (PYPC) at EtonHouse International School Suzhou, she strives to create a culture and community of learning where students and teachers thrive.

Despite graduating with Bachelor of Science degree, she quickly realised that her passion lay in the classroom. From there she went on to obtain qualifications in Preschool Teaching and Speech & Drama for young learners as well as a Master's degree in Education Specialising in Leadership, Policy and Change from Monash University in Australia. Over her years with a bilingual preschool in Shanghai, she had the privilege of being involved in the set-up of their second campus as co-Principal, working to build and guide a brand-new team and grow the school into a thriving, warm, safe space for students to learn and develop. Her keen interest in inquiry-based learning pushed her to exploring and engaging in IB courses, which eventually led her to EtonHouse International School, Suzhou as Early Years Coordinator. Ms. Nonis believes in student-centred learning, the freedom for children to explore and create, as well as the importance of being able to appreciate differing views and ideas. She strives to build strong partnerships with families in an effort to bring out the best in students.

His educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with majors in Chemistry and Physics from Monash University in Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Education qualified to teach Chemistry and Physics, and a Master degree in Environmental Engineering – the latter two courses studied at the University of Melbourne, Australia. After working for pharmaceutical, medical and scientific instrumentation multinational corporations, he has brought real-world industrial experience to the classroom. Mr. Springer inspires students to learn and apply knowledge and analytical skills in science and mathematics classes by demonstrating the relevance of the problem that needs to be solved. In his role as Middle Years Programme Coordinator(MYPC) at EtonHouse International School Suzhou, his focus is to drive teachers to deliver concept and inquiry-based lessons.

Ms. Vanessa Chen has worked as an innovative practitioner in the educational field for many years. She has the PGCEi from Nottingham University and currently obtaining the Master of Applied Educational Leadership from UCL IOE. She also holds the early years leadership certificate from Harvard University graduate school of education. In the meantime, She is a IB workshop leader. Before joining Middleton division, EtonHouse, she has worked for different international schools that located in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen as the PYP coordinator, academic principal and founding deputy headteacher. She believes that quality education bring children good character, international-mindedness and happiness, which will be witnessed in EtonHouse Suzhou, Middleton Division!
