As the melody filled the hall of the Salle Cortot in France, Harizha, a Mongolian student from Aidi WACE, captivated the audience with the soulful sound of the morin khuur, Mongolia’s horse-head fiddle. His performance introduced Chinese ethnic music to an international stage, earning him the Gold Medal at the Paris Music Competition (PMC) in France.
In Mongolian, “Harizha” means a river that flows endlessly. True to his name, he continues to advance with perseverance—having also won Gold in the Chinese division of the 2025 Hannover International Music Competition.

His journey is a vivid testament to Aidi School’s philosophy: personalized learning, honoring individuality, and a global outlook rooted in Chinese values. Here, students of all backgrounds are respected, and every talent is nurtured to thrive.
How did Harizha find his place at Aidi?
Through difference, he found direction; through confusion, clarity.
From drifting in solitude to standing firm with purpose, every student at Aidi discovers their own path and the strength to grow.
Here, he experienced, for the first time, the freedom to be seen beyond grades, realizing that global vision means not conformity but confidence in one’s roots while embracing the world.
Through Aidi’s personalized growth pathway, Harizha followed a flexible schedule tailored to his strengths, allowing him to balance academics with his artistic pursuits.
Behind his progress was the steady support of Ms. Li Shuang, his homeroom teacher, who guided him through both language and cultural challenges with expertise and care.
Aidi’s full-time homeroom teacher system offers every student individualized, continuous, and comprehensive support. These teachers are not only academic advisors, but also architects of personal growth, resource integrators, and lifelong mentors, reflecting Aidi’s vision of customized international education that fosters cultural confidence and global vision.

At Aidi, all-round support extends from academics to daily life, from cultural adaptation to emotional growth. Harizha’s transformation from a quiet boy into a confident young musician was shaped by the steady guidance of his teachers.
“The morin khuur has a rare, distinctive tone that makes ensemble performance challenging,” Ms. Li noted. She connected Harizha with Aidi’s Music Club and Art Center, where experienced mentors guided him through cross-cultural music practice and collaboration.

Starting with rhythm coordination, his instructor reminded him, “The beauty of the morin khuur lies not in blending in, but in finding harmony between differences.”
Through music, Harizha found belonging and confidence. At Aidi’s Music Carnival, his first ensemble performance brought cheers and applause, showing that the most moving art often arises where cultures meet.
Entering the Paris competition was a bold choice, made possible by the guidance of his teachers. “The stage is not an exam; it is where you share your inner world with the audience.”
Through this journey, he discovered himself, growing in confidence and artistic expression.
Inspired and encouraged by his teachers, Harizha entered his first international contest in spring 2025. winning the Gold Prize in the China division of the Hannover International Music Competition.
In July 2025. the world heard the morin khuur at the Paris Music Competition. PMC brought together young talents from China and Europe across more than ten disciplines, including piano, vocal, and orchestral music. Harizha performed The Grassland Links to Beijing, a piece that blends traditional Mongolian long song with modern composition.
The PMC jury praised his performance: “The morin khuur was really impressive. Its sound was deep and full, with melodies that were powerful yet capable of expressing subtle emotions. The costumes were eye-catching, and the performer’s stage presence felt natural, showing both confidence and experience.”
After winning, Harizha immediately shared the news with the teachers who had supported him: “Aidi is where my dreams began. Without coming here, the morin khuur might have remained a private hobby, and I would never have had the courage to perform on the world stage.”

Harizha’s mother reflected: “He has found his spark. Seeing him grow from insecure to confident, joyful, and award-winning, doing what he loves every day, has been remarkable. My husband and I, both postdoctoral researchers, carefully considered many schools before choosing Aidi. We are grateful for the resources, platform, and full support of the faculty. For Harizha’s future, we set no limits.”
Harizha’s journey exemplifies international education at its core, respecting each child’s individuality while providing a stage to shine. It embodies Aidi’s mission to cultivate future leaders with a Chinese soul and a global vision, showing that true international perspective is not about conformity but about engaging the world confidently, grounded in one’s own culture.
