St Bees School was founded in 1583 by Edmund Grindal, the Archbishop of Canterbury, under the warrant of Queen Elizabeth I. It is one of the oldest schools in the UK.

The school arranges senior foreign teachers' classes every week. Every Friday, there are house activities led by foreign teachers. Additionally school buses will be arranged on friday. The school creates an immersive English environment so that children can learn English naturally through immersion.

The school has more than 30 kinds of GCAS (After school activities), as well as various competitions and interesting clubs.
