学生所真正需要的是，学习的意愿!

您在今天的IEIC现场有怎样的感受?
Antony Geralis：
It's this time of the year again that parents, students, teachers, schools are thinking education and making the right choices for the new school year.
又到了一年的这个时候，所有的家长、学生、老师、学校都在考虑新学年将如何做出正确的选择。
It's the new admissions season and it's so heartwarming actually to see how much interested Chinese society is with regards to education and in this way shaping the future.
在招生季看到中国家长、学生乃至社会对教育和塑就未来有如此大的兴趣与热情，我的内心是非常温暖的。
So, it feels really nice and fulfilling as an educator to see this vibrant community embarking on the journey of evolution.
作为一名教育工作者，看到这个充满活力的社区开始这一进步之旅，我感到美好而充实。

Please share with us an educational concept which you personally admire?
分享一下您个人非常崇尚的教育理念给大家
Antony Geralis：
The concept that I personally admire is the one of change because schools are learning organizations, like students.
我个人非常欣赏的一个理念是“改变”。因为和学生一样，学校是一个学习型的组织。
If a school doesn't learn, which means that if a school doesn't change, then how is it going to improve? How is it going to grow?
如果一所学校没有不断的学习和改变，那么它将如何成长、进步?
How is it going to mature, become better and serve the needs of the students?
它将如何发展、成熟?如何更好地服务于学生的需求。
It's the same thing with students. They change every day, every year after attending a grade level.
这一观念也同样适用于学生，伴随着每年每天的变化，我们的学生才能成长到一定的高度。
So, what we expect of students we should also expect of schools that is to change, grow, mature and develop.
因此，在期待学生的成长和进步时，我们也应该期待学校的改变、成长、进步与发展。

What capabilities do you think students who want to enter international (internationalized)schools should have?
您觉得想进国际(化)学校的学生，应该具备哪些能力?
Antony Geralis：
Apart from specific academics related skills, like English language competency,
除了特定的与学术相关的技能，比如英语语言能力，
depending on whether the school is actually using English as one of the main media of instruction,
这取决于学校是否真的把英语作为主要的教学媒介之一，
what students need to have in any school, not only international or internationalized schools,
在任何一所学校里无论是国际学校或国际化的学校，学生所需要的，
is actually the will to learn, the will to evolve or as the ancient Greeks were saying the will of be“anthropoi”,
实际上是学习的意愿，进取的意愿，或者就像古希腊人所说的，作为人类的意愿，
which means actually willing every single year of their lives to embrace change for a better future.
这实际上意味着，在生命的每一年中，他们都愿意拥抱改变，从而拥有美好的未来。
